Looking for a more convenient way to get a sleep study test done? Have problems sleeping elsewhere other than your own home? If so, then a home sleep study test may be the best way to go.
We have the sleep staff ready and waiting to help get you set up.
Our process for home sleep studies is fast and convenient. We spend quality time with each patient on a tutorial, proper application and guidance. You will also have the opportunity to ask questions.
When you sign up for a home sleep study, you will take the device home (or can be delivered) and sleep at your regular bedtime. If you are on a regular medication, speak with your board-certified sleep medicine physician. Your doctor may recommend that you temporarily discontinue using the medication.
When you are ready to sleep, you will apply the device and applicable sensors. In the morning, you will remove the device and applicable sensors and return it back to our facility (or mail it back).
Once returned back to our clinic, our sleep team will score and interpret the information collected through home sleep apnea testing. This may take several days or weeks.
Our sleep team or sleep board certified sleep physician will contact you to discuss the results. If for whatever reason the results are unclear or not enough data collected, then the physician may recommend an in-lab sleep study.
Some reasons why you may need an additional in-lab sleep study include (but not limited to):
- Your home sleep apnea test did not record enough data for a physician to make a diagnosis
- Your home sleep apnea test results indicate that you do not have obstructive sleep apnea and the physician suspects another sleep disorder
If you are diagnosed with obstructive sleep apnea, the board certified sleep physician will discuss treatment options with you and develop a plan.
